We could not be hap­pi­er to announce that the much antic­i­pat­ed and long-await­ed book, West Danville, Ver­mont Then and Now, 1791 – 2021, will be avail­able for pur­chase by the end of this week, just in time for every­one on your Christ­mas list!

Through the extra­or­di­nary efforts of every­one involved in the final process, espe­cial­ly Leahy Press in Mont­pe­lier and Opti­mum Bindery in Nashua, NH, books are set to arrive lat­er this week allow­ing us to hold true to our orig­i­nal pro­jec­tion of hav­ing the book com­plet­ed in time for those request­ing to pur­chase as Christ­mas gifts.

Books will be avail­able for pur­chase between the hours of 10am-3pm in the base­ment of the Danville Con­gre­ga­tion­al Church, beside the Choate Sias house on Hill Street in Danville, on Fri­day, Decem­ber 10 and Sat­ur­day, Decem­ber 11. Books will also be avail­able at the Danville His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety dur­ing reg­u­lar hours, Tues­days and Thurs­days, 10am–5pm, Hast­ings Store in West Danville, The Joe’s Pond Craft Shop, and the Walden Cor­ner Stop Inn Shop. The cost is $45. At this time we will accept pay­ment by cash or check.

We want to thank every­one who pre-ordered books through book@danvillevthistorical.org. Pre-orders may be picked up dur­ing the des­ig­nat­ed times at the above loca­tions. For those who have pre-ordered and request­ed books be shipped, postage and han­dling will be added to the cost of the book accord­ing to the num­ber of copies request­ed.  Pay­ment may be mailed to the Danville His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety, P.O. Box 274, Danville, Ver­mont   05828. Please include $7 to the cost per book for ship­ping and han­dling. For orders of 3 books or more, we will deter­mine the most cost effi­cient mail­ing method of ship­ment and noti­fy you pri­or to mail­ing your pay­ment in advance of shipping.
